Pathways to Awakening 2026
Pathways to Awakening Part 1: Embodiment and Effective Relationship to Meditation
Led by Amala and Sunada
July 18-19, 2026 via Zoom
Connecting with our bodies is more than just a preliminary stage to set up a practice session. It can serve as a direct pathway to awakening. Through understanding how to work with the principles of embodiment, we can relate in a more dynamic way to the forms and structures we’ve been given. We’ll explore some choices in approach that can open new possibilities in our familiar practices.
Pathways to Awakening, Part 2: Stillness and Insight
Led by Amala and Sunada
December 12-13, 2026 via Zoom
How do we work with samatha and vipassana approaches in our practice? Building on the principles of embodiment from the first session, we’ll explore how connecting with the breath can deepen our understanding of the Three Lakshanas: Anatta (no self), Anicca (impermanence), and Dukkha (unsatisfactoriness). We will also consider how an overall effective practice focuses not only on meditation, but also weaves together elements of dharma study and personal reflection alongside it (i.e. Three Levels of Wisdom).
Recordings will be posted here following the event
