Post-Ordination / Ordination Retreat at Chintamani

For those ordained in the last six years, you and your private preceptor are invited to a Post Ordination retreat at Chintamani in Mexico, October 13-23, 2023. Karunadevi, Ashokashri, and Amala will be facilitating and look forward to being on retreat with you. It is a wonderful opportunity to come together to share our experiences as Order Members.

We will explore with each other the aspects of Order life that were a part of your Ordination retreat, such as the Four Acceptances, your Order name, the Ten Precepts.  Also meditation practices including Sadhana, Six Elements, Bodhicitta, and experiences of insight. We can work out together those areas that are most relevant to us, what is challenging us, and what inspires us.

Also during this retreat a small group of women from the United States will be privately ordained. We are poised to create a meaningful and supportive context for them as they take that important step. The public ordination will be held at the start of the Pan American Order Convention on October 23. We will ask everyone to wear blue clothing for the retreat.

Dates/Times/Local Transport

• Travel day will is October 13, ground transportation will be provided from the Mexico City Airport, organized by Vidyachandra, with Padmatara as our point person.  In July/Aug we will collect information in a shared google form about your travel details.
• At the end our retreat, transportation will be provided from Chintamani to the Order Convention (NOTE: register for the Order Convention separately). If you are not going to the convention, please let us know so different ground transportation arrangements can be made.
• Public Ordination to be held at the Convention Oct 23rd

Sliding Scale Fees/Travel Fund for Team

• Sliding scale registration fees: $325 / $450 / $600  - paying the higher will help cover the team costs.
• We've set up an option to make a $50 initial deposit with balance due by September 1st.
• We have added a separate button to make a donation to the team travel fund.
